1. introduction

The SRC GT3 World Tour 2023 – Witner Season series is organized in accordance with the provisions of the regulations of the SimRaceCommunity are carried out. It takes place in accordance with the Sporting and Technical Regulations of the series.

The competitions are organised in accordance with the SimRaceCommunity regulations, unless otherwise specified below or in the respective event announcement.

2.1 Details of the titles and predicates of the series

The SimRaceCommunity, hereinafter referred to as the series organizer, announces the SRC GT3 World Tour 2023 – Winter Season for the year 2023.

Only vehicles in one of the following categories are used as vehicle classes:

Each team can select and register one of the 14 vehicle types from the two rFactor2 GT3 packs. The “Balance of Performance” is always the responsibility of the developer Studio 397. The league management reserves the right to make exceptions.

3. provisions of the series

3.1 Official language

In principle, all written and verbal instructions are issued in German. In exceptional cases, an English translation may be provided.

3.2 Responsibility, changes to the invitation to tender, cancellation of the event

• Participants (drivers) take part in the event at their own risk. They shall bear sole responsibility under civil and criminal law for all damage caused by them, unless an exclusion of liability is agreed in accordance with this invitation to tender.
• The invitation to tender may only be amended by the series organizer and the approving body. From the start of the event, changes in the form of bulletins can only be made by the Chairman of the ReKo, but only if necessary for reasons of safety and/or force majeure or due to official orders or if the information contained in the announcement regarding the length of the course, race duration, number of laps and officials or obvious errors in the announcement are concerned.
• The organizer reserves the right to cancel or postpone the event or individual competitions for the aforementioned reasons. Claims for damages or fulfillment are excluded in this case.

4.1 Registrations/entries, eligibility to start

The driver must apply for admission to the SRC GT3 World Tour 2023 – Winter Season with the entry form issued by the series organizer by the entry deadline, 08.11.2023.

The series organizer reserves the right to accept applications received at a later date.

Online naming

The series organizer reserves the right not to run the SRC GT3 World Tour 2023 – Winter Season series if fewer than 10 participants are registered.

Registrations are processed according to the date of receipt. Only registrations for which the registration fee has been received will be processed. The registration is only accepted and binding after receipt of payment and written confirmation by the series organizer. (Entrylist)

4.2 Eligibility to start

In principle, no training laps have to be completed, but the penalty increases considerably in the event of culpable misconduct.

0-29 training laps: Double penalty for culpable misconduct, on the track and during the event. This includes, for example, how we treat each other.

>30 training laps: Full starting authorization, normal penalty.

4.2 Entry fee for the season

For every SimRaceCommunity member who has paid the annual fee, there are no further entry fees.

4.3 Start numbers

Participants choose a free start number when registering. You will receive permanent start numbers for the entire season from the series organizer.
Participants of the previous season have a priority right to the start number used there.

4.4 Skins

The skins must be completed as specified in the SimRaceCommunity regulations and submitted by 08.11.23 // 8 pm (CET).

5. licenses

5.1 Drivers and teams

Teams consist of 2 drivers with one vehicle each. One substitute driver is permitted per team (see substitute driver).

At 12h and 24h events, a vehicle must be occupied by at least 2 drivers and a maximum of 5 drivers. A maximum of 50 vehicles can take part in the SRC events.

Each team shares a double garage with a pit spot at the GT3 World Tour. If several teams are registered with only one driver, the league management will assign these teams to a common pit spot.

5.2 Guest driver/guest start

Each forum member is allowed one guest start per GT3 World Tour season. This guest start is free of charge and must be registered with the league management/admins. The time of the guest start is coordinated with the league management. Vehicles in a separate class and with SRC livery are available for guest drivers.

5.3 Substitute driver

• A full team with 2 regular riders may register a substitute rider.
• The substitute rider does not have to pay a registration or starting fee.
• A replacement driver must be registered with simracecommunity.eu in the forum, in Teamspeak and on the race servers with a real name.
• Replacement drivers drive the vehicle of the regular driver of the team to which they belong. They therefore do not have their own start number.
• A substitute driver does not receive a trophy or other prizes.
• If a replacement rider changes, this must be reported by the Saturday before the race at the latest.

5.4 Changing vehicles during the current season

Each driver is free to change vehicles once per season. Car changes are not permitted for the last two races of the season. The change of vehicle does not include a change of team.

5.5 Team change

It is possible to change teams once during the season. The team points earned until the change remain with the “old” team. The driver points are transferred. In the event of a team change, the choice of vehicle is open as long as no previous vehicle change has taken place.

6. events

6.1 General implementation

The races are usually held on Sundays, every two weeks. Each event has a qualifying session (15 minutes) and a 90-minute race. The exact dates can be found in the race calendar (navigation on the main page or in the info section in the forum).

Only riders who have paid the full entry fee before the start of the event will be admitted to the race.

6.2 Driver registration and waiting list

Basically, all drivers and teams are registered for all racing events of the respective season with the official registration in the forum.

If a rider is unable to participate in an event, he is obliged to deregister in the announcement thread of the respective event in good time, at the latest 1 week before the event.

If a rider culpably fails to withdraw from an event within this period for the first time, he/she will be warned. If riders are on the waiting list, the starting position can be given to a waiting rider by the race management at the end of the briefing.

In the case of the second culpably missed deregistration from a race event, the rider will be moved to the waiting list and the first rider on the waiting list will take his place in the season.

The race management decides on culpable neglect. If the driver cancels with other participants within the deadline, they should cancel the missing participant in the announcement thread within the deadline.

6.3 Maximum number of permitted vehicles

The maximum number of vehicles permitted is: 50

6.4 Implementation of the competitions

a) Training

If possible for the organizer, a training server will be made available for free training throughout the day and the entire time between races. Free training sessions are generally not streamed. Special training and test days will be announced in the race calendar. Special training sessions can be streamed by the organizer.

b) Qualification

Each driver has 15 minutes to drive his fastest lap – there is no limit to the number of laps.

ESC is prohibited during qualifying – this means that a driver may not use the ESC button to switch from the track to the pits. If the driver enters the pits despite the ESC ban, the vehicle may no longer leave the pits during qualifying. Use of the ESC button is permitted within the pit lane at your own pit space. The starting grid is determined by the lap times achieved in qualifying.

c) Start and pre-start

The race begins with the formation lap. It must not be overtaken! Overtaking during the formation lap is only permitted if a vehicle was late leaving the starting grid and the vehicles behind could not avoid passing.

The leader sets the pace, but should stick to a recommended speed of approx. 130 km/h. The start is classic standing in rows of two. The start box is signaled by the simulation with a red box.

The race is automatically released by rFactor2.

The game automatically penalizes early starts with a drive-through penalty / Stop&Go penalty.

d) Scoring runs

The SRC GT3 World Tour race generally lasts 90 minutes. The speed limit in the pit lane is set at 80 km/h on all circuits. At the end of the race, each vehicle must drive into the pit lane under its own power. The top three line up for the winner’s photo at the end of the pit lane.

e) Pitstops

The pit stop times are determined by the developer Studio397. In exceptional cases, the league management reserves the right to make adjustments.

f) Restart

After the server has switched to the race, there is no restart because individual drivers, for whatever reason, had a disconnect. Restarts due to accidents are also excluded. In exceptional cases – for example in the event of technical problems on the server – the race organizers reserve the right to initiate a restart. In this case, the originally planned race time will be adhered to if possible.

g) Track boundaries / track limits

The track limits are always penalized by the simulation. There are 5 cut warnings set on the server side. With the 6th warning, the simulation awards a drive-through penalty.

If the race commission recognizes an advantage by shortening the course, it may impose separate penalties.

6.5 Race tracks

The routes are driven according to the specified race calendar. The calendar of events can be viewed on the SRC website or in the forum.

6.5.1 Weather conditions

The weather conditions are retrieved live from several weather stations closest to the race track and fed into the simulation. A suitable server plug-in is used as a weather data station. Weather data can be accessed via Wetteronline.com, for example.

6.5.2 Track conditions

Every track starts “green”, i.e. without grip, when it is put online or updated. The grip conditions change dynamically as the vehicles use the track. Rain washes away the grip already built up on the track. Dynamic lighting and weather conditions place high demands on the PC hardware. Each team must therefore ensure that smooth image reproduction is guaranteed on its own computer under all conditions.

6.5.3 Track boundary

The track boundary is indicated by a white solid line. If there are curbs outside the track directly adjacent to the white line in bends, these count as part of the track. Two wheels of the vehicle must always be within these track limits at all times.

6.5.4 Community Vote

In each SRC GT3 World Tour season, one track is selected by community vote. The vote will be activated via the forum 4-6 weeks before the event takes place. The league management offers various routes to choose from. Every driver has one vote. A simple majority decides the election. In the event of a tie, the league management will choose one of the voted routes.

6.6 Driving aids, damage and assistance

The following server settings generally apply. Exceptions or special regulations can be found in the invitation to tender.

• Automatic clutch and gearshift permitted
• Damage 66%
• Normal tire wear
• Normal fuel consumption
• ABS: fully approved
• Traction control: fully approved

7. rating

7.1 Minimum requirements

To be counted, at least 75% of the total number of laps must be completed. If the connection to the server is lost due to client-side problems, only the laps completed online will be counted.

7.2 Points table and scoring mode

The following points are awarded for the scoring runs:

All results of the individual races are taken into account for the year-end classification. There are 2 strike result(s).

7.3 Equality of points

If there is a tie between several drivers in the final evaluation, the greater number of first, then second and further places in all the races held will decide.

7.4 Additional points

The pole setter receives 2 bonus points.

The driver with the fastest race lap receives 2 bonus points.

The driver who wins the most positions receives 2 bonus points.

Each driver receives 3 bonus points for finishing the race by entering the pit lane.

7.5 Team ranking

Both drivers of a team score points for the team classification.

7.6 Success weights

The following success weights are distributed to the leading drivers according to the championship standings:

1st place: 60 kg – 2nd place: 50 kg – 3rd place: 40 kg – 4th place: 30 kg – 5th place: 20 kg – 6th place: 10 kg

In addition, the following short-term weights are awarded for a race:

1st place: 30 kg – 2nd place: 20 kg – 3rd place 10 kg

The maximum successful weight is 60 kg. The short-term weights are awarded with the 3rd race of the season.

Example 1: A rider is 4th in the championship (30kg) and finishes 3rd in the 2nd run of the season (10kg). 30kg +10kg =40kg for the 3rd race of the season. Is it after the As he was still in 4th place in the championship in the 3rd race of the season and did not finish in the top 3, his successful weight will be reduced again to 30kg for the next race.

Example 2: A new driver starts the season (0kg) in the 6th race of the season. He wins this race (30kg) . 0kg + 30kg = 30kg for the next season race in which he takes part. Then 0kg again.

Example 3: The driver from example 2 (30kg) also wins the next race of the season. 30kg for the following season run. After that 0kg again if he does not make it into the top 3 riders.

7.7 Title overall winner

The title “SRC GT3 World Tour – Champion” or other championship titles will be awarded to the driver with the highest number of points at the end of the season. The winner of the drivers’ championship is entitled to claim the starting number 1 in the following season. The title “SRC GT3 World Tour – Team Champion” or other championship titles are awarded to the team with the highest number of points at the end of the season. In the event of a tie, the better rankings are decisive.

Scratch results: The results system always deducts unrated races as the worst result first, so this will only be fully visible at the end of the season. The scratch results are included after the penultimate race. In the event of a tie, the better rankings are decisive.

7.8 Prices

The top 3 in the drivers’ standings will receive 1 year’s free SRC membership (wildcard) and can therefore take part in 2 further GTW seasons free of charge. Payment of the prize is not possible. Wildcards are name-bound and are not transferable.

8. protest

Any misconduct that does not comply with the rules can be submitted for a period of 48 hours after the 24-hour suspension period. Protests that are not submitted within this 2-day period will be deleted without comment. This also applies to protests that are submitted too early. It is mandatory to specify the race time using the server VCR. In addition, the respective race must be specified for two-part races.

9. TV rights/advertising and television rights

All copyrights and image rights are held by the organizer, including images taken from television broadcasts of the livestream (s).

All television rights to the series, both for terrestrial transmission and for cable and satellite television transmission, all video rights and all rights for exploitation by all electronic media, including the Internet, are held by the broadcaster.

Any kind of recording, broadcasting, repetition or reproduction for commercial purposes is prohibited without the written consent of the organizer.

Drivers can stream themselves and their race live. The organizer is free to link this stream or include it in the organizer stream.
